Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) Website

portfolio:  web design

PAH is a is a non-governmental organization, that acts for the right of access to water and sanitation, right of access to education, right of access to food, right to live in decent conditions, right to protection of life and health during natural disasters and armed conflicts.

In 2008 I was asked to redesign PAH’s website in the line of their new logo and brand book.

After analysing the website’s structure and several brainstorms with the editorial team, we concluded that visual issues are not the most urgent ones. First of all some more in-depth changes in structure and information architecture were necessary to fit PAH’s communication strategy and editorial needs.

Tasks

Architecture of information clean-up
Layout design and new visual rationale based on PAH’s current brand book
Visual integration of PAH campaigns (each with it’s own visual ID, domain and website) with PAH main website
Concept and UI design for new features such as:

- intuitive donation forms, integrated with online payments
- multimedia content section (photo galleries, videos)
- robust „news” section (blog)
- newsletter templates
- editorial and visual tools for cross referencing the users within the website

This structural and visual revolution was brought to life by Ideactive Interactive Agency.
